DaVinci Lock® subscriptions provide access to integrated features that automate tenant access, messaging, and facility operations.

What is the DaVinci Lock® subscription?

A tiered monthly subscription that provides access to integrated features. Enrollment enables automated tenant access including customizable automated unlock code delivery, integration with your facility management software, and Tenant Connect functionality.

What are the benefits of a subscription?

The DaVinci Lock® subscription helps operators automate tenant access and reduce manual tasks. Key benefits include:

Is there a separate subscription for G.O.A.T.?

The G.O.A.T. subscription is an add-on billed monthly by facility:

The first G.O.A.T. unit at a facility is $59 per month.
Each additional G.O.A.T. unit at the same facility is $10 per month.

Pricing is calculated separately for each facility. Units installed at different facilities do not qualify for the additional-unit rate. G.O.A.T. units become eligible for billing when in the installed state.

How do I enroll in a subscription?

You're automatically enrolled in a subscription when integrating your facilities (via direct integration or API key) with a supported facility management software or installing a G.O.A.T. device at a facility.

How does subscription billing work?

DaVinci Lock® subscriptions are billed monthly based on the number of locks actively used at each facility and the corresponding subscription tier. G.O.A.T. subscriptions are billed monthly based on the number of G.O.A.T. units at each facility. Invoices are generated on the first of each month for the prior month’s service. Can I pay month-to-month or am I locked into a contract?

DaVinci Lock® subscriptions operate on a month-to-month basis.

What payment methods are accepted?

Subscriptions can be paid by credit card or ACH. A valid payment method is required for recurring subscription billing. By enrolling, you authorize DaVinci to charge the payment method associated with your account for subscription fees and other amounts due under your subscription.

What is the automated renewal policy?

DaVinci Lock® and G.O.A.T. subscriptions automatically renew each month until canceled.

Will I pay tax on my subscription?

Depending on your location, you may see applicable state and local taxes on your subscription invoices. It is not a fee established by DaVinci, and DaVinci does not retain the amount collected. Any tax shown on your invoice is collected and remitted to the appropriate taxing authority.

How is my tax rate determined?

Applicable tax is calculated using the information associated with your account and subscription, including the relevant billing address. Rates can include state, county, city, district, or other local taxes.

Applicable tax is calculated using the billing address assigned to each invoice group. If an invoice group does not have a billing address, the primary company address under Settings > Company will be used.

Can tax requirements change?

Yes. Sales tax laws, rates, economic nexus thresholds, product classifications, and local requirements may change over time. Your invoice may therefore change even if your DaVinci subscription remains the same.

You might experience a situation where you don't see a tax now, but do in the future, even without a billing location change. Some states don't require taxes be collected for subscription services until a threshold is hit in that state. While many companies apply the tax year round, whether the threshold is hit or not, DaVinci only applies the tax when required by state regulations.

Which states do not charge sales tax on DaVinci subscriptions?

As of October 2026, the following states generally do not apply state sales tax to our software subscriptions:

Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Beginning January 1, 2027, California and Colorado will begin applying sales tax to software subscriptions.

Local taxes or other exceptions may apply. Any applicable taxes will be reflected on your subscription invoice.

How is tax determined if my company manages facilities in multiple states?

The DaVinci billing portal uses your invoice groups to determine the address associated with each invoice and calculate any applicable tax:

If an invoice group has a billing address saved, that address will be used to determine the applicable tax.
If an invoice group does not have a billing address saved, the primary company address on your DaVinci account will be used.

Can I use a P.O. box as the billing address?

Yes, a P.O. box can be used as an invoice group’s billing address, but it cannot be used as your company address.

The default invoice group uses the billing address from your company billing settings. To bill facilities to a P.O. box, create an invoice group, enter the P.O. box as its billing address, and move the applicable facilities into that group.

Who can make or manage billing changes for my account?

Owners and admins are currently the only authorized users that can add or integrate facilities, making them eligible for enrollment in a subscription. Both roles can also manage billing groups, payment methods, and view upcoming invoices.

How can I review or update the billing address for my company?

To review the information associated with your account:

Log in to your DaVinci account.
Navigate to Settings > Company.
Confirm or update the company address.

How can I review or update the billing address for an invoice group?

To review the information associated with your account:

Log in to your DaVinci account.
Navigate to Billing > Invoice Groups.
Confirm or update the billing address for each applicable invoice group.

Please ensure that the billing address associated with each invoice group is complete and accurate. Updating an address does not guarantee a change in tax treatment, but it helps DaVinci calculate applicable taxes using the correct information.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Canceling your subscription will remove your facility management software integration with DaVinci Lock and suspend any automations or features associated with integration.

To cancel the subscription for a single facility, navigate to the "Facilities" section of your DaVinci Lock account, click the X in the "Actions" column, and follow the on-screen instructions.
To cancel the subscription for a single G.O.A.T. device, navigate to your Tenant Connect account, click "Manage Subscription", and follow the on-screen instructions.
To cancel the subscription for all facilities and/or G.O.A.T. devices, navigate to the "Company" section of your DaVinci Lock account, select the products you wish to cancel, click "Manage Subscription", and follow the on-screen instructions.

Your canceled DaVinci Lock® integration and/or G.O.A.T. service will remain active through the end of the month. Because subscriptions are billed after each month of service, the final charges for the canceled subscriptions will appear on your next invoice.

Are partial month refunds available?

No. Subscription fees are billed monthly and partial month refunds are not issued.

Is a subscription required?

You can use the DaVinci Lock® system and physical locks without a subscription. For security, all locks should be activated within your company’s DaVinci account to prevent unauthorized activation. Without an active subscription, you will not have access to the following integrated features:

Integration with supported facility management software
Automatic delivery of unlock codes via SMS and email
Self-service tenant access through Tenant Connect
Automated gate access using G.O.A.T. with subscription
