FAQ

How does it work?

Tenants at the facility scan a QR code to directing them to Tenant Connect®. Tenants are prompted to verify the phone number associated with their facility account. Once confirmed, tenants can access the "Open Gate" feature. 

What facility management software (FMS) platforms does G.O.A.T.® support?

Currently, the system supports integration with SiteLink, Storable Edge (formerly storEDGE), and Self Storage Manager Cloud (SSM Cloud) through Tenant Connect®.

Is bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or internet access required?

The G.O.A.T.® leverages cellular data and no internet is required.

What type of power source is required?

The G.O.A.T.® system is connected to the facility's existing gate motor via 4-wires and integrated through the Tenant Connect® portal to enable tenant access.

Can we track which tenants are accessing the property?

Two reports within the Tenant Connect® admin portal be leveraged for insight on tenant access. The "Gate Access" report identifies all users who have attempted to or successfully gained access to the property. The "QR Code Scans" report identifies all users who have scanned the QR code at facility entrances.

What is the flow for a tenant who rents a new unit?

With Tenant Connect®, tenants can seamlessly rent and pay initiate payment for a new unit. Once paid, they can open the gate by scanning the gate QR code or using the access tool within the Tenant Connect® portal. 

What is the flow for a delinquent tenant?

When attempting to access the facility, delinquent tenants will be prompted to initiate a payment through Tenant Connect® before gate access is enabled.

Can tenant gate access be revoked? 

Tenant access will be determined based on their current account status in SiteLink, Storable Edge, or SSM Cloud.

How do vendors or employees gain access?

If the individual is associated with a unit, they will be prompted to authenticate their access via their phone number. If the individual is not associated with a unit, they can be added to the Tenant Connect® Vendors tab and access the facility with a gate access code using the digital keypad.

Is a keypad required?

No, through it's integration with Tenant Connect®, tenants, vendors, or employees can use the digital keypad to add their gate access code.

Can I set specific gate access hours?

Yes, gate hours specific to each facility can be set up within the Tenant Connect® portal.
