Why did a lock's status automatically change?

To simplify the lock return process, automated background systems may trigger updates based on a lock's status. As a result, the lock status may change, and the "Updated by" column in the lock inventory report will indicate "System."

A lock's status can be automated to update to a new status following a new move-in or upon payment of a delinquent balance.
